过硫酸钠为强氧化剂,可用作氧化剂,可将Cr3+、Mn2+等氧化成相应的高氧化态化合 物,当有Ag+存在时,可促进上述氧化反应;利用其氧化性可用作漂白剂、金属表面处理剂、化学试剂;医药原料;电池、乳液聚合反应的促进剂和引发剂。如活化过硫酸钠可用于原位修复石油类污染土壤的工程,过硫酸钠可以在未受污染的土壤环境中稳定存在,在纯砂石含水层中过硫酸钠可以稳定存在达2 年之久,如果含水层土壤中含有2%的Fe( Ⅲ) 或Mn( Ⅳ) ,则过硫酸钠可以存在1 年。

If the aquifer soil contains 2% Fe (Ⅲ) or Mn (Ⅳ), sodium persulfate can exist for 1 year.
